University of California- Irvine & Its Coddled Anti-Semitism sticky icon

Those of you that know me know that I like to troll the Internet. (I do it, because our news media has abdicated its role as the nation's gatekeeper.)  Anyway, I was trolling when I came across a story that led me to a video on You Tube that is introduced like this at that site:

February 11, 2010 (more info)

The Israeli ambassador Michael Oren gets booed off stage by students of the University of California. Booed off stage just like he deserves to be.

The video is of a February 8th presentation by Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren at the University of California-Irvine. It was sponsored by the Middle East Studies Student Initiative. If you go to the You Tube site to view the video, you will find other videos dealing with the same subject and more than a few comments full of hatred and vitriol that most Americans would find offensive.

 Pertinent UC-I Background

In case you are not aware of it, the University of California-Irvine campus has what some call an annual May "hate-fest" against Israel and the Jewish people. In spite of outreach and tolerance projects, some members of the resident Muslim student population are joined by outside agitators and together they repeatedly threaten and assault Jewish students. For some unknown reason, the administrators at this campus can’t seem to get a handle on the problem. I’m not a Jew or a Muslim, but I am an American and I have trouble understanding how California is able to maintain sanctuary cities for its illegal Latino residents, but California, the City of Irvine, and the University of California can’t seem to offer any sanctuary for American or foreign born Jews.

Open Thread: Diversion? sticky icon

With all that's going on now:  Fort Hood, Unemployment, Health Care Reform, and Wall Street Shennanigans, take a look at Huff Post's front page headline.

They're playing the freaking race card again! -- putting Glen Beck's comments from last July front and center (because a right-wing guy recently said he agreed with Beck).  Aren't there more important things worthy of headline status? Honestly.  (and I thought I'd seen some improvement at Huff recently -- maybe they figured they took a couple steps forward, so they're due for a step back?)

Obama campaign stoked the Clinton racists meme sticky icon

Thanks to pm317 at NoQuarter for posting about Tucker Carlson laying into Obama for calling the kettle black and his campaign's racism smears of Hillary and Bill Clinton.  My dislike of Tucker hit a high point back in the primary, about the time he gave up bow ties.  But this is incredibly informative and I'm shocked that a member of the MSM would tell the truth after all this time.

The very end of the video is the best but it's all good.

Thank you Tucker and thank you pm317

Listen up all you racists sticky icon

Yeah, You.  I know you don't like Obama's Health Care plan, therefore you are a racist.

And you over there.  You object to President Obama wanting to extend some un-American provisions of the Patriot Act, you too are a racist.

Do you think he's gone a tad overboard on bailing out his Wallstreet buddies.  Sorry but you my friend are a racist.

Even our old comrade in arms, soldierforhillary is a racist.  And Jedi Will, well he's the worst racist of all because he doesn't like almost anything Obama says or does.

MODO should get your blood boiling sticky icon

The normally nonchalant Barack Obama looked nonplussed, as Nancy Pelosi glowered behind.

Surrounded by middle-aged white guys — a sepia snapshot of the days when such pols ran Washington like their own men’s club — Joe Wilson yelled “You lie!” at a president who didn’t.

But, fair or not, what I heard was an unspoken word in the air: You lie, boy!

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/13/opinion/13dowd.html

What a total ass she is.  Yes, I think she is most likely right and pegged Joe Wilson, but damn it all, stop calling everyone and everthing against his Oliness as racism.  I was told just yesterday that because I don't support Obama's sneaky plans to make the Insurance and Drug company execs even wealthier, that because I a believer and supporter of single payer, do not support his non-health care, that I am a racist.

It has to end on both sides.  The uniter is dividing as none before ever has.  He could unite us but divide and conquer does work.

Sotomayor & her Affiliations sticky icon

Sonia Sotomayor’s confirmation hearing might have some drama. The pundits say she will be easily confirmed, but some bloggers are beating the drum for an investigation of her liberal leanings. The American Bar Association has listed Judge Sotomayor as a member of the National Council of La Raza (The Race), which bills itself as the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States. La Raza promotes driver's licenses for illegal aliens, amnesty programs, and no immigration law enforcement by local and state police. An Investor’s Business Daily editorial framed the issue this way, If a GOP candidate sought votes from a white group calling itself the ‘National Council of the Race,’ he'd rightly be shunned as a racist. But let Democrats do the same and they're called "progressive."

In 2006 former Rep Charlie Norwood condemned La Raza as a "pro-illegal immigration lobbying organization that supports racist groups calling for the secession of the western United States as a Hispanic-only homeland." He urged La Raza to renounce its support of the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan. MEChA views "The Race" as members of the ethnic group that one day will reclaim the birthplace of the Aztecs, which they call Aztlan. In their worldview, Aztlan includes California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas.

The Durban II Boycott Update sticky icon

Contrary to my beliefs of just a few days ago, it appears that the Obama administration will indeed boycott the Durban 2 Conference this week.  Durban 2 ceased to become about racism when it continued the targeting of Israel rather than racism in general.  The administration is right to boycott this joke.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/04/19/racism.conference/index.html

Australia and the Netherlands were the latest to pull out of next week's meeting in Geneva, as a dispute gathered pace over a document said to single out Israel for its racism....

...Canada, Israel, Italy and Sweden have also announced they are boycotting the conference aimed at creating a global blueprint for tackling discrimination. Britain says it will attend....

.....Australia's Foreign Minister Stephen Smith echoed the concerns on Sunday, saying that Israel was being unfairly targeted..

"Regrettably, we cannot be confident that the Review Conference will not again be used as a platform to air offensive views, including anti-Semitic views," he said.

The United States says that despite its boycott, it "will continue to work assiduously" with all nations "to combat bigotry and end discrimination."

The Durban II Flip Flop to come sticky icon

Flip FlopWe're getting used to it.

There is no decision yet, and I'll get into why I'm in a quandary but for some reason my DNA allows me to separate the actions from the issue.  I trust people who say what they mean and do what they say.  Even people I totally disagree with, at least If they are trust worthy then I know where I stand.

I hated his policies and we're now paying for Ronald Reagan's stripping of regulations and shrinking the workforce responsible for enforcing the regulations we still have.  Think lack of meat inspectors.

But I trusted Ronald Reagan.  We knew what we were getting.

I do not trust President Obama to say and do the same thing.  After all, what he says is "Just Words".  It's his actions that speak volumes.

Way back in the early days of this "historic" administration, February, the administration said they would boycott the upcoming Durban II meetings due to the outright Israel bashing and other issues in the primary document.

But now it is ages later and we hear rumblings that we may attend the conference afterall.

The truth of the Primary theft is finally out UPDATE sticky icon

Update 1 As you read about this try to remember the polling fiasco that was NH.  Every poll escept SUSA got it wrong and the news the night of the win was not Hillary's great win but how did all the polls screw up.  That is what this reseach is about.

Concerned Mother over at our frineds NoQuarter has just published newly released reports showing that the media misinterpreted that Hillary's NH win as racism rather than poor polling leading up to the NH primary.  That as we know caused the racial furor leading into South Carolina and the subsequent wins by his Oliness.

This is big.  Way to F&^$ng late but big none the less.

Today the American Association for Public Opinion Research Ad Hoc Committee on the 2008 Presidential Primary Polling released a pdf report on the methodologies utilized by pollsters during the Democratic primaries. It is a long report, and a cursory analysis of it is available at Pollster.com.
