Enemies List - Open Thread
Even when I sometimes agree with the Obamanoids at 1600, I have to stop and think about their methods and total lack of historical perspective. I may agree that FOX News is Republican propaganda but I would never advocate the stupid measures they and their MoveOn brownshirts are using.
Lamar Alexander has experience with what can happen to an administration that focuses on enemies rather than adversaries.
Former Nixon aide wonders: Does Obama have 'enemies list'?
You don't hear many comparisons between Barack Obama and Richard Nixon, but former Nixon White House aide Lamar Alexander thinks he has found one: The seeds of an "enemies list."
Now a U.S. senator from Tennessee, Alexander cited the Nixon team's "open declaration of war upon anyone who seemed to disagree with administration policies." Now, he added, "we're beginning to see symptoms of this same kind of animus developing in the Obama administration."

Rupert Murdock and News Corp leading the global warming fight?
Climate Progress has an excellent post about how that old conservative, Rupert Murdock believes in global warming to the point of taking serious action with his company, the Fox networks and of course with his eloquent voice. Read and digg the post over there. http://climateprogress.org/2009/03/05/jack-bauer-24-carbon-neutral-ruper...
Thanks to member Cal for leading me to this great news.
Often in life, politics and saving the planet, it is the enemy who becomes your best friend. Ex smokers are the best example. Perhaps it's guilt, I don't know, I just know that having Murdock on the side of planet Earth is one of the best things to happen in a long time.
Amazingly, Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp — yes, the one that owns Fox News — is very, very serious about climate change. If you don’t believe me, watch the remarkable hour-long video (here), which is mostly a Rupert-Murdoch-led international launch of News Corps’ Global Energy Initiative.

Maybe? Maybe we drank the Kool-Aid
Maybe we've been had.
I mean it. Maybe for the last X years we've been drinking kool-aid. Maybe, just maybe we've been listening to the wrong people.
We all know the world is upside down. We're living a Vonnegut novel that ends before it starts, where left is right and right is left. Up is down and down is up.
A fantasy world where Democrats follow a Rovian Rasputin and Republicans follow a Truthsayer.
Well here's something else to think about.
