Worm turning so fast it's dizzy sticky icon

Remember Tucker Carlson of the fabled bow-tie who kept his legs together everytime Hillary was mentioned?  Now he has come out with "proof" that the msm conspired to deprive Hillary of the nomination by suppressing stories of Reverend Wright.

Well he was one of the boyz who turned his back on our cries for help to expose Wright/Obama connection.  By our, I mean the many blogs that kept up a barrage of information to media folk like Tucker and were ignored.  Always seemed strange to me that the media boyz and girlz could read Koz and Huff Puff but could never seem to find Riverdaughter or Alegra or Partizane.

Now Tucker professes to be on the side of the angels in an appearance on FOX this morning as he said Obama stole the Primary from Hillary.  Here's a bit from his rag that he referenced.

The crisis reached a howling pitch in mid-April, 2008, at an ABC News debate moderated by Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos. Gibson asked Obama why it had taken him so long – nearly a year since Wright’s remarks became public – to dissociate himself from them. Stephanopoulos asked, “Do you think Reverend Wright loves America as much as you do?”

Obama’s Un-American Presidency sticky icon

After Barack Obama was elected US Senator from Illinois, one of his first political acts on the world stage was to get on a plane to Kenya and campaign for his cousin Raila Odinga in that country’s 2007 presidential election. (The photo on the left shows the POTUS with Odinga.)

Obama mounted political platforms with Odinga throughout Kenya and spoke on his cousin’s behalf. For his part, Raila Odinga promised to implement strict Islamic Sharia law within a new Constitution, if he received the Muslim vote in the predominantly Christian country. Despite Obama’s efforts, Raila Odinga did not win that election.

As a result of that loss, Odinga’s supporters followed Alinsky methods, and violent unrest broke out in the country. They shocked the civilized world when they locked Christians in a church, torched it, and allowed their victims (mostly women and children) to burn to death. The marauders killed hundreds and many Kenyans left their homes to escape the violence. Kenyan women and children as young as two were raped by gangs of thugs that hoped their savage acts would disgrace their victims' families.

DOJ not Blind but Hopelessly Corrupt sticky icon

There was evidence that the New Black Panther Party intimidated voters on Election Day in November, 2008. Many Americans can still remember the video of the two NBPP members, dressed in military style para uniforms outside a polling place near downtown Philadelphia.

Former civil rights lawyer Bartle Bull, who is publisher of the Village Voice, calls the NBBP intimidation in Philly "the most blatant form of voter intimidation I've ever seen." Mr. Bull happened to be there that day, along with others who witnessed the two Black Panthers intimidate voters. One of them, they say, brandished a nightstick at the entrance and pointed it at voters. They say both men made racial threats. Bull says he heard one yell: "You are about to be ruled by the black man, Cracker!"

Blago & the Chicago/ Washington Way sticky icon

Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich (shown left, closest to story) is on trial in Chicago. Blagojevich has pleaded not guilty to scheming to sell or trade the appointment to Obama's old US Senate seat. He has also pleaded not guilty to plotting to launch a racketeering scheme. If convicted, he could face up to $6 million in fines and a sentence of 415 years in prison.

John Harris (Far-left photo)  was Blagojevich’s former chief of staff. Harris testified last week in the former governor’s corruption trial. What he said does not reflect well on the President of the United States.

Harris testified that three days after the Nov. 4, 2008 Presidential Election, Blagojevich told him that he felt confident Obama knew he wanted to swap perks. Harris said he believed Barack Obama knew of Blagojevich’s plot to win himself a presidential Cabinet post, in exchange for appointing Valerie Jarrett to the U.S. Senate. According to an article in the Chicago Sun Times, Harris had much to share during his testimony:

Where Are We Being Led? sticky icon

“We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it….”
 __________________________________________________

Progressives have failed to create jobs, despite a trillion dollar stimulus package they promised would fix the unemployment rate. Americans hoped the Health Care Bill would prove them better stewards of the public’s trust. We knew most Progressives hadn’t read the health care bill they were hell-bent on passing, but citizens still trusted that the Obama Administration would be aware of how much the bill would cost before it became law. Unfortunately, this week we learned that wasn’t the case, if we are to believe the words of Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius:

The Progressives have passed health care legislation that has no budgetary limits in a time of economic hardship, and they are doing their best to silence average Americans who gather to raise their voices about the cost of inflated government. Yet, in an op-ed on the Financial Times website, Roger Altman, former Deputy U.S. Treasury Secretary under President Clinton, wrote:

America’s fiscal picture is even worse than it looks. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office just projected that over 10 years; cumulative deficits will reach $9.7 trillion and federal debt 90 percent of gross domestic product – nearly equal to Italy’s.

Global capital markets are unlikely to accept that credit erosion, if they revolt, as in 1979, ugly changes in fiscal and monetary policy will be imposed on Washington. More than Afghanistan or unemployment, this is President Barack Obama’s greatest vulnerability.

The Serial Liar: America's Pinocchio President sticky icon

The biggest problem with the current White House is its tendency to obfuscate; its partiality to half-truths and blatant whoppers. It’s time for Americans to deal with the reality we face. Go ahead, google: “Obama, lies."  I did, and 13, 700, 000 results magically appeared.

Early in 2008, Snopes.com posted a list succinctly named 50 Obama Lies”. Now, there’s even a website named Obama Lies. The first part of this year had people spinning about Obamacare and Healthcare lies. In January many people were offended that Obama’s promise to broadcast health care debate on C-Span didn’t materialize. Others resented that political kickbacks were part of the legislative process when Obama had promised he would do everything aboveboard and by the book. (They didn’t like that the book appears to be Machiavelli’s The Prince.)  Opposingviews.com discussed "The Hidden Lies in Obama’s Health Care Plan", along with many other posters across the blogosphere.

It Is What IT Is sticky icon

Did you see the graphic design for Obama's Nuclear Summit?. From what I've read, they had it plastered everywhere in DC . Jon Stewart doesn’t think it looks like a crescent moon and has made fun of people, who have gone on record saying it does. As much as I like Stewart, he is wrong on this one.

Gateway Pundit at his site shows how Muslim states have used similar graphics for their own specific purposes:

POTUS Nixes SOS to SCOTUS sticky icon

During a NBC’s Today show segment yesterday on Supreme Court Justice John Paul Steven’s retirement, Senator Orrin Hatch(R-Utah) said he's heard Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's name mentioned as a possible replacement. Hatch appeared on the show with Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy when he made his remark. The Utah Republican simply said: "I heard Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's name today and that would be an interesting person in the mix."

Matt Lauer asked, “In your opinion, would she be qualified?” Hatch responded, “I have a high respect for her and think a great deal of her, but I’m not going to pre-judge that.” Hatch didn’t say he’d support a Clinton nomination, but he did say "I like Hillary Rodham Clinton." He also added that he believes she’s done a good job for Democrats.

Hillary Clinton, a Supreme Court Justice? For a short time yesterday, blogs embraced the idea. Then, Vanity Fair’s Juli Weiner had an article posted before noon about the Internet reaction. She wrote:

... [T]he Web punditry has already begun issuing pronouncements on Supreme Court Justice Clinton. Even before today’s Today rumor mongering, Slate’s Emily Bazelon wrote that “Clinton has all the makings of a full-throated, strong-minded liberal stalwart on the bench.”  The Daily Beast’s Mark McKinnon agrees: “Stripping away the drama, the politics and psychobabble, she’d be a great choice for Obama and the Democrats. She’s as smart and as qualified as any prospect her party could nominate.”  Seventy-one percent of NPR.com readers also say they would welcome a Clinton nomination.

On the other hand, Mediaite’s Glynnis MacNicol suggests embracing the politics and psychobabble, and is positively giddy about the potential procedural spectacle: “I’m not sure a Supreme Court confirmation hearing can ever be considered must-see TV, but a Clinton nomination might make it so.” True! It is just too bad for C-SPAN that Stevens is not retiring in time for May sweeps.

Progressives & the Value-Added Tax sticky icon

Paul Volcker (L), White House adviser and former Chairman of the Federal Reserve under both Carter and Reagan, spoke at a New York Historical Society event this week. During his remarks, Volcker said the US must consider a “European-style Value-Added Tax” to address the fiscal debt crisis facing the federal government, even though it was an unpopular idea. He said it succinctly: “If at the end of the day we need to raise taxes, we should raise taxes.”

Paul Volcker’s New York comment introduces the next phase of the Progressive’s indoctrination of our citizens. He is a member of the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board, which he also chairs. Volcker knows the future the Obama administration has planned for us. We are following Europe’s path.

A VAT would tax purchases at 10-15% and generate the money needed to pay for the POTUS’ agenda. It would be imposed like a Federal Sales Tax and be paid along the chain of production by both wholesalers and retailers. It is a cumulative tax, because everyone in the chain of production, sale, and purchase of a product pays a tax. The added cost is passed on to consumers in the form of higher prices. A VAT would hit middle and lower earners harder than the rich, because they will pay a higher portion of their income to buy things than the rich will pay.

Political Double Speak sticky icon

One by one, the Democrats are trying to clean up the mess caused by their push to pass what is increasingly becoming an unpopular health care bill. On Friday, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) admitted that the Progressives probably oversold their health care legislation that was just signed into law. In other words, the bill isn’t going to do exactly what they said it would and if it does, it may not be when they led voters to believe.

McCaskill appeared on MSNBC's Morning Joe, when she spilled the beans: "The side on which I'm on, that voted for the bill, is probably over promising, not been clear enough about the fact that this is going to be an incremental approach over time. The benefits aren't going to be felt by most Americans immediately.”  McCaskill's  use of  "over promising” to describe current political events is a euphemistic choice of words for what Americans are witnessing.

What Cuba Teaches Us sticky icon

Cuba’s Fidel Castro took time off on Sunday to praise the Progressive’s health care bill and his BFF Barack Obama. (Another Communist reaches out to our POTUS with thumbs up camaraderie.) Some Hollywood types like Castro. People like Michael Moore, Danny Glover, and Sean Penn are warm and fuzzy about him. Moore even likes Cuban health care and dealt with it in a documentary.

If you have ever been to Little Havana in Miami, you know another view. The Cuban-Americans, who live there, never tire of telling the truth about what change and revolution did to Cuba and the Cuban people. It is their history, and they will not let it be buried by Communist-sympathizers.

"After All, Who Today Remembers the Genocide of the Armenians?" sticky icon

“Our strength lies in our intensive attacks and our barbarity...After all, who today remembers the genocide of the Armenians?”  -Adolph Hitler, persuading others that The Holocaust would be tolerated-

 This Week

The Congressional Foreign Relations Committee, by a vote of 23-22, approved a resolution condemning the 1915 slaughter of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire as “genocide”. The resolution was passed despite a last-minute Obama administration effort to derail it, which has put a chill on America’s relations with Turkey.

As a result of that vote, Turkey has recalled its ambassador from Washington, a move it pulled when a 2007 committee passed a similar resolution. It worked for Turkey in 2007 and the resolution did not pass. So, indications are that the current resolution has an uncertain future in Congress, despite the fact that it is a Democratic Congress and Obama promised as a Presidential candidate that he would support such a resolution.

Obama & Britain: God Save the Queen sticky icon

It has been written that Obama doesn’t like Britain, because his father and grandfather were jailed by the Brits during the 1950’s in Kenya’s Struggle for Independence. Obama shared that his grandfather was jailed for "more than six months" in his Dreams from My Father, but he provided no details about the event. Other accounts relate that his Kenyan grandfather was also tortured. Obama’s Granny Sarah (Mrs. Sarah Onyango) says her husband recounted his torture to her. She even gave details of the ordeal to reporters during Obama’s run for the presidency. Although Obama has wisely never discussed his feelings, there have been indications that Britain is not on his Favs List.

When Obama took over the Oval Office and officially called it his own, he quickly had a bust of Winston Churchill, photo right, removed. The MOFO website says it was because Churchill had a history of saying things like: “The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal division of blessings, while the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal division of misery.”  A case can be made that It might have something to do with philosophical differences, but I think it is more likely that Churchill  has less happy memories for Obama than for Americans who celebrate his wartime leadership. It was during Churchill's second term of office that Britain suppressed Kenya's Mau Mau rebellion and allegedly tortured Hussein Onyango Obama, the President's grandfather.

Evan Bayh says "it's time" for incumbents to go. sticky icon

This Yahoo article makes clear why Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN) is about to retire; he is tired of the partisanship, gridlock, and pointless politicking going on at the expense of the American people.

To Mark Halperin: Au Contraire, mon frére -- Joe Scarborough defends Hillary. sticky icon

With all the hoopla over Mark Halperin's book Game Change in the major media, I went to read Peter Daou's account of what he saw from Hillary Clinton during the 2008 Presidential Campaign (Pacific John has an excellent article up now; go here http://alegrescorner.soapblox.... if you haven't already seen it).  Daou was a senior campaign staffer, and he's the first one to come out and say flat out that this book is wrong.  (Mind, I've seen many other denials since -- Howard Wolfson comes to mind -- from Hillary campaign staffers.  But Mr. Daou's was the first.)

But not all members of the major media have forgotten their recent history, and some of them have been quite articulate in their defense of Hillary Clinton.  The person who comes to mind, though, as having given the best defense of HRC's character to date, though, is former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough --MSNBC's "Morning Joe" himself.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...

Scarborough is displeased, as he says here in an article picked up by the Huffington Post:

Did you see the excerpt of John Heilemann & Mark Halperin's Game Change?

He's Good Enough, He's Smart Enough... sticky icon

but darn it, some DINOs (and Republicans) don't like him. Why, I wonder? He's funny!

(giggle)

Ah, but I digress. Anywho, you remember that story we covered on October 9th? The one about how Al Franken had won real bi-partisan support for his anti-rape amendment - including that of the newly-crowned Queen of the Senate and All Things Health Care Related, Olympia Snowe?

Well, apparently 68 votes, plus feel-good, liberal, woman-friendly legislation, plus vindication for Jamie Leigh Jones and all her less-famous but equally suffering sisters, don't add up to much compared to a nice, fat defense contract.

An amendment that would prevent the government from working with contractors who denied victims of assault the right to bring their case to court is in danger of being watered down or stripped entirely from a larger defense appropriations bill.

Cry Me a River, Beijing sticky icon

President Barack Obama has signed an order to impose a new duty of 35% on Chinese tire imports on top of the existing 4% tariff China now pays. His action on behalf of American workers has upset the Chinese government, and it is throwing a hissy fit. China has accused the US of “rampant protectionism” for imposing heavy duties on imported Chinese tires, and it is threatening to respond in kind against imports of US poultry and vehicles. (Hmmm; cry me a river, Beijing.)

Score one for the POTUS. He signaled thumbs-up to America’s trade unions, keeping a campaign promise to correct the unfair favoritism that the global economy imposes on US trade. In his first world trade test since his inauguration, Obama sided with America’s trade unions and their argument that a recent surge in Chinese tire importation had caused 7,000 US factory workers to lose their jobs.

The decision to impose additional tariffs followed a petition by The United Steelworkers, a union representing many workers in US tire factories. Official US data shows an increase in Chinese tire imports from 14.6 million in 2004 to 46 million in 2008. The value of Chinese tire imports increased from $453.3 million in 2004 to $1.8 billion in 2008. Moreover, four US tire plants closed in 2006-2007, and three more are on the chopping block. In short, US tire production has fallen by 17.8% in the past four years.

Sarah Palin Responds to President Obama sticky icon

In a little over 600 words, Sarah Palin has responded to the POTUS' hour-long Healthcare Speech. In her message, she argues that Democratic proposals will not lower costs or provide better healthcare. She also calls the President out on a few things,   including his failure to respond to arguments she has raised against bureaucrats making healthcare decisions. Since the media  hasn't really provided information on Sarah Palin's response, I am posting it here for Partizanes:

After all the rhetoric is put aside, one principle ran through President Obama’s speech tonight: that increased government involvement in health care can solve its problems.

Many Americans fundamentally disagree with this idea. We know from long experience that the creation of a massive new bureaucracy will not provide us with “more stability and security,” but just the opposite. It's hard to believe the President when he says that this time he and his team of bureaucrats have finally figured out how to do things right if only we’ll take them at their word.

I Am an American: I Serve No Man or Woman, and Hollywood Can Go to Hell sticky icon

There comes a time when a person has to do what they have to do.

My father volunteered to fight a war, because he immigrated to the United States, loved it to its core, and wanted his unborn children to breathe free. I respect and honor what he and countless others did for this country and value my freedoms exactly because they weren’t given “freely”. People worked, fought, and died for them. It is a sacrifice Americans should always remember.

When you watch the following video, you can be sucked in because of the lovely people and some of the Utopian ideas. (Whoa! Don't go there!) Watch carefully, because there is no turning back:

Vaccine or WMD? sticky icon

If you haven't heard of the name Jane Burgermeister, it is because our corporate media wants it that way. Burgermeister is a dual Irish/ Austrian national with a MA Honors degree from Edinburgh University, Scotland, who writes for many publications including the British Medical Journal, Reuters Health, and The Guardian. She was also European Correspondent for the Renewable Energy World website, up until she was fired this summer.

Burgermeister lost that job after filing a series of criminal charges against Baxter, the World Health Organization (WHO), the UN, and others. In those charges, she alleges bioterrorism through the use of vaccinations with the intent to commit mass murder in the US and around the world, for the distinct purpose of culling the population. (Grabbed your attention? It grabbed mine.) The charges focus on a February episode when Baxter’s Austrian subsidiary distributed 72 kilos of flu vaccine contaminated with live bird flu virus to sixteen laboratories, a case now being investigated by the Austrian police after criminal charges were filed in April. More charges were filed in June with  the FBI (US embassy, Vienna).

Give Us the Plan Ted Kennedy Had or Don't Use His Name sticky icon

There is bad taste, and then there is Progressive Democrats. They didn't possess the decency to allow Senator Ted Kennedy a dignified burial, before they began shilling the idea to have their healthcare plan (which polling shows most Americans hate) named after him. I guess they think America’s infatuation with the Kennedy name will make the plan’s Medical Review Boards and the denial of medical services based on age and disabilities more palatable?

The media has joined forces and is doing whatever it can to help Obama pass his plan. I thought Chris Matthews was over his tingly leg man crush for Obama, but no such luck. Here’s Matthews making a fool of himself yet again, this time talking about Barack Hussein Obama-Kennedy, “the last brother”:

First Lady's Staff Costs Us sticky icon

As I surfed the Net yesterday, I found myself reading Canadafreepress and an article by Paul Williams. Love those Canadians, they are always breaking little stories about our government and our leaders that our media ignores. (Why is that?) Anyway, I found one of those stories yesterday, which led me to finding other things....
