The Serial Liar: America's Pinocchio President
The biggest problem with the current White House is its tendency to obfuscate; its partiality to half-truths and blatant whoppers. It’s time for Americans to deal with the reality we face. Go ahead, google: “Obama, lies." I did, and 13, 700, 000 results magically appeared.
Early in 2008, Snopes.com posted a list succinctly named “50 Obama Lies”. Now, there’s even a website named Obama Lies. The first part of this year had people spinning about Obamacare and Healthcare lies. In January many people were offended that Obama’s promise to broadcast health care debate on C-Span didn’t materialize. Others resented that political kickbacks were part of the legislative process when Obama had promised he would do everything aboveboard and by the book. (They didn’t like that the book appears to be Machiavelli’s The Prince.) Opposingviews.com discussed "The Hidden Lies in Obama’s Health Care Plan", along with many other posters across the blogosphere.
Political Double Speak
One by one, the Democrats are trying to clean up the mess caused by their push to pass what is increasingly becoming an unpopular health care bill. On Friday, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) admitted that the Progressives probably oversold their health care legislation that was just signed into law. In other words, the bill isn’t going to do exactly what they said it would and if it does, it may not be when they led voters to believe.
McCaskill appeared on MSNBC's Morning Joe, when she spilled the beans: "The side on which I'm on, that voted for the bill, is probably over promising, not been clear enough about the fact that this is going to be an incremental approach over time. The benefits aren't going to be felt by most Americans immediately.” McCaskill's use of "over promising” to describe current political events is a euphemistic choice of words for what Americans are witnessing.
The Health Care Con-Game
Our Congressional majority has purposely fostered a phony low-ball estimate of what the Obama Health Care Plan will cost. The Progressives in Congress presented the Congressional Budget Office with incomplete, inaccurate and misleading data, so they could come up with an estimated cost of $940 billion and pretend they will save us money. In case you’re having problems understanding the scheme, the Investor’s Business Daily website uses the following analogy that makes it painfully clear:
"Like a used car dealer pricing a car at $9,999 instead of $10,000, the hucksters in Congress were anxious to get the official cost below the scary $1 trillion level at which things suddenly sound very unaffordable. Using the rigged $940 billion estimate, Democratic leaders now hope to force a health care bill through … seizing 17% of the U.S. economy …. The $940 billion figure the CBO came up with is almost wholly bogus. So is the laughable estimate that deficits will be cut by $138 billion over a decade."
White House Spin, or Do They Really Believe It?
Does the Obama Administration believe what's coming out of the White House? I don’t think so, and there seems to be more than a few Americans who agree with me. Unfortunately, we see it as lies and obfuscation or what strategists like to call "political spin". The Obama team is simply pretending that Scott Brown's victory was not blowback resulting from its own actions. It has decided to create a smoke screen rather than appear weak. They know there are people who will actually believe them. They also know our unethical media types will disseminate their lies spin without question.
Like President Obama in his Wednesday interview with Stephanopoulos, Robert Gibbs took up air space today to spread the White House's convoluted logic. With unflinching eyes, both men firmly stated that Scott Brown's victory was not a repudiation of Obama’s agenda and the Democratic Majority’s Congressional governance, despite the fact that Brown is a Republican who has won a very Blue Senate seat.
Obama administration gave MIT health economist Jonathan Gruber a six figure paycheck to back Cadillac Tax

From FireDogLake:
MIT health economist Jonathan Gruber has been the go-to source that all the health care bill apologists point to to defend otherwise dubious arguments. But he has consistently failed to disclose that he has had a sole-source contract with the Department of Health and Human Services since June 19, 2009 to consult on the “President’s health reform proposal.”
How much was that contract worth? $396,200. Now Obama media shill Ezra Klein, who knew Gruber for years, denies that he knew anything about this conflict of interest:

60 Minutes of Bullshit
It's not my fault, it's those greedy bankers, so says our President.
While I agree with his stance on Afghanistan I get incredibly pissed off when he tries to blame others for his screw-ups. No, he did not create the crisis and yes he did lots to stem the bleeding but for goddess sake Obama don't you get it? You say the bankers don't get it but you are the ass in this mess. You are the one who put the wolves in charge of the chickens. You are the one who... wait, let me quote myself from a comment I just posted at Mediaite.
Mediaite has a rundown of the 60 Minutes interview and your's truly got the first comment in. Mediaite commenters here, please go give me props.
So here is my comment.

Toxic Meme Alert: Lies of the "Pro-Life" Movement
Now that Stupak-Pitts has exposed the machinations of the "pro-life" movement in the most obvious and unflattering manner, I've been thinking a lot about the different ways in which their movement lies, not just to pro-choicers, but to their own faithful believers. Here are some things I've come up with: as always, feel free to add your own in comments. Here we go!Lie #1: We are pro-life.
Yup, that's a big fucking lie right there. Are they anti-war? No. Are they anti-death penalty? Hey-ell no. Thus, they are not pro-life in any meaningful sense of the word. What they are is anti-choice. But remember they're not anti-THEIR choice; they're anti-YOUR choice, wimminz. They think you are evil because of some ridiculous story about a snake and an apple tree. For an illustration of this insanity, see the fact that until very recently, the RNC's Cigna health plan covered elective abortions...until their rabid anti-choice base found out and put a stop to it. Sort of.

more on the flipside

President Obama. Try to find the strength and courage to be an American.
Change they can believe in.
The tribunals are "an enormous failure". So said his Oliness when he wanted their votes.
But now that the spys have convinced him that some of those prisoners are really mean men, he's decided to start up the tribunals once more but in a more palatable, more barackian style. And the o'bots will praise him for his pragmatism, even though this goes against everything we as a people stand for.
I'm not going to quote the BBC I just read or all the human rights groups who are stunned. You all are smart enough to find that stuff yourselves. I am going to say that I expected this and much more to come. Barack Obama has no moral center but worse, he doesn't have the strength it takes to be an American leader.
Throughout history, leaders have taken the easy way out. Someone they trust says somebody else is bad, throw 'em in the dungeon and forget about them. Believing, trusting and fighting for the rights our founders died for. That takes strength and courage. Things President Obama lacks.
Obama's 4 outrages in his 1st week
So. let me get this straight:
In a nation of 300 million people, Obama felt compelled to appoint a tax cheat, Tim Geithner, to be his Treasury Secretary. (Among 300 million people, there was not even ONE other person who could have filled that slot?) Then, tax-cheat Tim Geithner, having declared he would NOT hire any lobbyists, proceeded to hire as his Deputy Treasury Secretary a Goldman-Sachs LOBBYIST, Mark Patterson -- and all of this occurred within the FIRST week of the Obama administration. http://tinyurl.com/cywb84
Second outrage:

déjà vu all over again. Obama reusing his primary tricks
I call it the Reverse Negative Twist. The guy is starting to use the trick he used so well against Hillary Clinton in the primary. It is the same trick that causes the media to say he's staying above the fray while in reality he is the fray.
(CNN) -- Sen. Barack Obama on Sunday charged that Sen. John McCain's campaign is launching "Swift boat-style attacks" on him instead of addressing the country's problems.

"Handsome is as Handsome Does"
This blogger wrote and asked if I could link to this post and after reading the writing of another one of us in limbo, I decided to give you a preview. The blog itself is not one of our usual PUMA joints but this particular post is a very good read.
Once upon a time I was filled with sick horror at the thought of a McCain Presidency. Now? Not so much. He hasn’t changed. He does have a new running mate, but she doesn’t scare me. After Dubya, it feels petty to pretend that inexperience is some kind of showstopper. What’s changed for me is the growing sick horror with which I view an Obama Presidency.

The Truth about Obama Lies
As Stated back in March in a Clinton press release.
A friend managed to find this old press release on the Clinton website and I think it contains truths that should not remain hidden. The site has been fairly well cleaned up so only a geek could have found this one. Please read on. His lies were lies then and still lies now. Since this is a press release I am posting the entire thing. Blockquoting left out in order to preseve formatting.
The Making of Barack Obama
In case you have been questioning your ethics, your insight, your stance on our political process and the 2008 Presidential election, you need to read the following excerpt from the Limbaugh show (Yuck! I know, I know; just get over it and do it. It's a favor you owe yourself. ) Also, make a point of trying to catch the entire Charlie Rose interview of Newsweek writers Meecham and Thomas that Rush Limbaugh covers in this excerpt. (How do these people live with themselves?)
