POTUS
First Lady's Staff Costs Us
As I surfed the Net yesterday, I found myself reading Canadafreepress and an article by Paul Williams. Love those Canadians, they are always breaking little stories about our government and our leaders that our media ignores. (Why is that?) Anyway, I found one of those stories yesterday, which led me to finding other things....
Will You Still Need Me; Will You Still Feed Me, when I’m 64?
Even if you don’t have the time, make the time to read Principles for Allocation of Scarce Medical Intervention authored by DR Ezekiel Emmanuel (the POTUS’ Special Advisor for Health Policy and Rahm’s bro) and two of his colleagues, Govind Persad, and Alan Wertheimer. It is an article that every American should read, because it presents the “ethics” behind reorganizing the delivery and reimbursement of healthcare. The authors are all associated with the Department of Bioethics at The National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. (You will find the article by following this link.)
Emmanuel et al are not satisfied with our country’s prevailing method for making healthcare decisions, which is based on saving the most life-years. Instead they promote “The Complete Lives System”. They write:
Iran Is Still There, Mr. President
Ever since President Obama returned from his Middle East Apology Tour, he has pretty much publicly avoided the subject of Iran, which should give every American pause. Remember this Imperial President did say that we could not stop another country from attaining nuclear capabilities, just before all hell broke lose in Iran over a rigged presidential election. Since then, the world has witnessed the ruthless treatment of Iranian citizens by Khamenei and Ahmadinejad.
Iranian military police and imported Hezbollah and Hamas thugs wrecked havoc on unarmed Iranian protesters. Some were brutally beaten; some were murdered. Word has it that Iranian Green Party members were picked up after the protests were quelled, that they were imprisoned and tortured. Some Iranians died as a result; some are still imprisoned.
Many of us will never forget the murder of the young Iranian woman named Neda. Since the ruling Iranian government has no qualms about killing its young people, it is doubtful that it would restrain itself in the use of nuclear weapons. So what’s up with the POTUS and Iran?
An Open Letter to Senator Byrd, AKA "Comments on Byrd's letter to the POTUS"
crossposted from Alegre's Corner
I read with great incredulity last evening of Sen. Robert Byrd's letter to Barack Obama; Sen. Byrd, in this widely publicized letter to President Obama, is unhappy with what Byrd calls a "power grab" by the setting up of "policy czars" who bypass the Senate, thus doing an end-run around the Constitutional requirement of checks and balances.

1 Month In, Obama Sucks as POTUS [Updated x2]
[Update: Outstanding videos below that explain the credit crisis.]
After a month, I've had enough. There was no reason to hope for better since Obama never gave any indication of having accomplished anything of any useful substance in all his adult years. The stock market has reacted negatively every time he opened his mouth and to every event surrounding him. It didn't help that Obama badmouthed the economy at every turn.
