Lea Lane's article: Do whatever you must to trick Hillary supporters into voting for Barack. sticky icon

This article by Lea Lane is truly awful; it's called, "Do Whatever You Must to Trick Hillary Supporters Into Voting for Barack" -- and it's disgusting.  (The secondary title, btw, is:  "Eat Crow?  Hell Yes, to Win This Election."

Prejudice among Dems may cost Obama votes

From David Paul Kuhn at Politico

Truly I expect it.  My wife has called me a racist twice over the past few months, many a cheeto has called me a racist and now a Yahoo study confirms that many of us who do not support The One™, are indeed "prejudiced".

Dean was against Caucuses before he was for them sticky icon

Here we have an article from 2004 detailing Howard Dean's opposition to the Iowa caucus in 2000.  You may remember him trying to back pedal his way out of it in 2004 just before he left screaming to go home to Vermont.

Wanna Fight?

Well it seems that Johnny stepped in it when he said the fundamentals were ok. Jeeez.

Just like the primary though, we have barry being against what he's not supporting but not against.  We have Michelle sort of saying Palin is only there 'cause she's "cute".  But will the press call them on it?  Will anyone dare to tell Michelle that the only reason Barry spoke at the 2004 convention was becasue of the color of his skin?

NO.  And that in a nutshell is why I don't give a rats patootee what John McCain says, what Sarah Palin shoots or who sleeps with who.

or:  Presently Present Again.

From Jonathan Martin at Politico comes this little tidbt about bambi once again being present or not.  Being for it before he was not against it.  Wait.  I'm confused.

Obama outraged at being accused of not supporting something he doesn't support

Obama, on the trail in New Mexico, had this to say of McCain:

"And today he accused me of not supporting what the Treasury and the Federal Reserve Bank did with AIG despite no evidence whatsoever that that’s what I had said."

Best of all she said of Obama, “When it comes to reform, has he ever once said, ‘We did’ instead of ‘I will’?

"The triumph of feminism" - The Economist sticky icon

Once again, in amongst all the clutter and crap I read.  Once again The Economist gets right down to the point and clarifies an issue for my little boy's brain.  I don't know if it's just the make up of the brit's brain or the outsider's freedom of expression, but these folks continually prove my most valuable resource.

From the September 13th 2008 Issue

THIS was supposed to be the year in which America’s feminists celebrated the shattering of the highest glass ceiling. They had the ideal candidate in Hillary Rodham Clinton, a woman who had been tempered in the fires of Washington. And they had every reason to think that she would whip both the young Barack Obama and the elderly John McCain.

Tit for Tat sticky icon

Mourn the end of Roosevelt's DNC. Its lamp was extinguished from within by once-trusted keepers of the flame, who plotted its demise.  FDR's Party, the party of the people, is gone; it was the victim of a Chicago hit carried out brazenly on cable news for the entire nation to view.

The neo-Dem mob used the lethal weapons of misogyny, ageism, race-baiting, and classism for the slaughter. The evil cabal of suspects include Dean, Brazile, Axelrod, Pelosi, and every other elitist party official who thumbed his/her nose at the people's vote. There are forces within this country that want to dilute or even dissipate our collective power, and unfortunately they stretch far within the neo-Democratic Party.

The "Oh, Shit!" Moment sticky icon

Oh, Shit!
Oh, Shit!

As a woman, I have been told various things by various factions in the feminist movement. One claims that gender is a social construction. This faction, in my opinion, falls into the category of denying reality. In fiercely and falsely asserting that women and men are the same, we open ourselves up to what I call the "Oh, Shit!" moment.

About the economy [UPDATED] sticky icon

The economy is on everyone's minds today. We're hearing all sorts of nonsense from the Obamamedia these days so I'd just like to add my 2¢.

John McCain said that the fundamental foundation of this economy is strong and, of course, he's absolutely correct. If there were something wrong with the foundation of this economy, unemployment would be much higher and many more banks would be failing, as we've seen in the past. We are not in a recession, most people are employed and doing well, but a minority is doing rather poorly. A minority of people is always doing poorly so it's just a matter of degree.

Newsweek Cover

Newsweek arrived today with a cover story that caught my eye.   The issue seems like about 1/3 devoted to Sarah Palin and I find this article is interesting.  I think they are wrong in the conclusion.  I think identity will trump issues this year because so many feel the Democratic Party and specifically Barack Obama, have abandoned any claim to be champions of the issues important to woman.  Now, since I'm a guy I'll shut up.
