Yep, There's More
In case you missed it, yesterday another Islamic fascist went to court for threatening to kill innocent American civilians. This 26-year-old Muslim, living in Virginia by way of Afghanistan, allegedly threatened to set off pipe bombs on Washington’s metro system during rush hour. Like his comrades in the ongoing Islamic death march, this xenophobe wanted to kill some Western “infidels” to ensure his passage into what he thinks will be Islamic Paradise.
Awais Younis, (who also goes by the aliases Sundullah “Sunny” Ghilzai and Mohhanme Khan) was arrested on December 7th by federal agents. According to the authorities, the FBI was alerted to the threats, which were allegedly sent on Facebook’s instant messaging system, by an informant.

America Remembers

Volunteers from across America placed 24,000 wreaths on graves of military personnel at Arlington National Cemetery last Saturday, December 11th. In the AP photo above, Marine PFC Kyle Rangel is shown placing a wreath on a brother Marine's headstone, while Marine Pvt. Caleb Morge looks on. The two Marines came from North Carolina’s Camp Lejeune to help out with the placement of the wreaths.

Big Dog, Bambi and Trapezoidilation
Peeps are calling the latest round of Obama backtracking, "triangulation". Giveth me a break.
They are desperately trying to trap liberals and moderates together in a place neither wants to be. They, Axelrod, Obama, Bill Clinton, only care about one thing. Re-election in 2012. None of them give a shit about the unemployment numbers except for how it affects Bambi's re-election. Actually, I think Bill cares but he cares much more about being his party's old general. He loves this elder statesman thing. I forgive him.
Obama and Axelrove have absolutely zero convictions. They do not believe in anything other than winning elections. We already know that they will lie cheat and steal to win. Now they bring in one whom people trust to build a Trap for liberals and moderates. We're damned if we don't support him and damned if we do. The obvious better choice is to support him because otherwise the liars on the other side win and we are truly fucked.

Islamic fascists around the world are heating up their rhetoric and attacking Western countries during the Christmas season. (They do this, while arguing they’re proponents of a religion of peace, and the MSM perpetuates that nonsensical argument.)
When is the West going to wake up? Better yet, when are citizens in those countries going to wake up to the reality that they have been sold out by the bureaucratic elitists they elected to protect them?

The 2010 Nobel winner, Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo (photo right), is serving an 11-year sentence for “citing subversion of state power,” after co-authoring an appeal calling for reforms to China's one-party political system.
His spouse, Liu Xia, has been under house arrest since the award was announced in October.

The American-Hating Xenophobe in Baltimore
Oops, another xenophobic hater found within our midst. This Islamic fascist hates Americans and wanted to blow some up during the Christmas season. Federal officials have arrested the xenophobe and charged him in an alleged plot to bomb a military recruiting center in suburban Maryland.

Antonio Martinez (pictured in his Facebook photo to the left), a 21 year old Muslim convert also known as Muhammad Hussain, was arrested by federal law enforcement yesterday.
Martinez a/k/a Hussain was charged with attempting to murder federal officers and employees, as well as attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction against federal property. He faces possible life in prison if convicted.
He allegedly tried to detonate a phony bomb at an Armed Forces recruiting station in Catonsville, Maryland, during a federal sting operation. According to the affidavit, he was alarmed by the recent FBI sting in Oregon, but stuck with his plan. "He stated that because the military in the United States and other countries were fighting against Muslims, soldiers were legitimate targets.”
The defendant came to the authorities' attention through public postings on his Facebook page, the affidavit said. He posted statements calling for violence to stop the oppression of Muslims.
Federal agents state in court papers that Martinez/ Hussain "struck up an association" with an FBI informant in October after posting a late September message on Facebook that declared:
“The sword is cumming (sic) the reign of oppression is about 2 cease."
The informant contacted Martinez/Hussain on Facebook, and learned the defendant “wanted to go to Pakistan or Afghanistan (a country that struggle for the sake of Allah)," but that later he began talking about attacking a military recruiting center. He spoke about killing US Armed Forces where they live.

"Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness.
When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual.

Rest in Peace, Elizabeth Edwards
Sometimes circumstances and people can take us to places we do not want to go and never expected to be.
Life happens, and mistakes occur.
Like so many of us, Elizabeth Edwards carried on when she learned that things were less than she believed. Lots of people do that, but Elizabeth Edwards did it while battling cancer, still grieving over the loss of her son. She carried on, and raised her children, and did the best that she could with what she had.
She carried on and continued to be an advocate for health care reform. She wondered aloud about the plight of those who faced her kind of health issues without her personal wealth. She shared with the public her struggles with cancer, sharing the pain of losing her hair, her efforts to assure her children about their mother's future, and her questions about how long she had to live.
She carried on when she learned her time was short, and even thanked supporters on her Facebook page:

The Obama Hostage Saga Continues
Frank Rich nailed it. Obama has Stockholm Syndrome and the Republican leaders are his captors.
Think about it.
He is always trying to placate the rethugs. Desperately even. He'd rather please his captors than those ill thinking, blinded by love folks who gave him the White House. It has perplexed me since the Obama Coronation. Why does he love them more than my liberal, progressive mixed up friends?
He has Stockholm Syndrome.

Heads up!
If your Monday is sort of sputtering along as you try to get back into the swing of things, the following news stories are meant to help you embrace your day, your week, and your life.
Yesterday's Emirates 24/7 News ran an interesting story about the veil and Saudi Arabian women.
The news story, "Saudi Women's Veil vs Moderninty," highlights two Saudi husbands:
1) Mufleh Mohammed, who after ten years of a marriage that produced five children, has yet to see his wife’s face; and
2) Mohammed Hilal, another Saudi husband, who could not identify his wife without her veil after she was killed in an auto accident. (He identified her when the veil was put back on her face.)
The two men are not an anomaly in Saudi Arabia, according to the Saudi media. As odd as it may seem, many married Saudi men say they have
never seen the face of their wife.
The article pushes the idea that many Saudi women insist on sticking to the ancient tradition of keeping their face covered even in front of their relatives or husbands, in defiance of ongoing changes brought about by oil and foreign visitors.
Even after they get married, many Saudi women never remove their face veil. To say the least, it leaves their husbands guessing.

Hillary's Waterloo?
If you don't go to Conservative websites, you probably didn't see the following Pamela Geller article on WikiLeaks that revolves around the Obama presidency and Hillary Clinton:
ShareThisWikileaks: Obama’s War on America, Target Hillary Clinton
It could not have escaped any lucid American that it was Hillary who was targeted in this WikiLeaks dump. Make no mistake. Hillary was the target. Julian Assange should be tried before a military tribunal. Instead, he is talking to Time Magazine, demanding that Hillary be fired.
On the day of the biggest breach of national security in American history, when war, in effect, was declared on the United States, the President of the United States held a press conference to announce a pay freeze on federal employees, and took no follow-up questions.
But instead of taking responsibility, Obama had Hillary handle the entire WikiLeak fall-out, despite the fact that it is Obama’s failure and just the latest manifestation of his continuing failure.
It could not have escaped any lucid American that it was Hillary who was targeted in this WikiLeaks dump. Make no mistake. Hillary was the target. Julian Assange should be tried before a military tribunal. Instead, he is talking to Time Magazine, demanding that Hillary be fired....In Time, Assange said that Hillary should resign: “If it can be shown that she was responsible for ordering U.S. diplomatic figures to engage in espionage in the United Nations, in violation of the international covenants to which the U.S. has signed up. Yes, she should resign over that.”
And how convenient that is for Obama! His only competition in the Democrat party for 2012 is Hillary....What a perfect way to bring down Hillary. I am no fan of Clinton, but that is hardly the point. Obama means to destroy Hillary. His man? Assange.... This is Obama’s MO. And he has no compunction taking the Democrat party down with him. He appears ready to go down and to take the American people with him, in service of his revolution. This WikiLeak is no accident; it is, rather, a play by the revolutionary left that came in with Obama.

The little microbe that could
The media hailed this discovery in its typical fashion with misleading hoopla. It made the story about aliens and said little about the team leader of the group that discovered a bacterim that could live without the necessary for life, phosphorus, but substitute the deadly arsenic. It wasn't surprising since the team leader in this discovery is a woman.
She is Dr. Felisa Wolfe-Simon

This finding of an alternative biochemistry makeup will alter biology textbooks and expand the scope of the search for life beyond Earth. The research is published in this week's edition of Science Express.
Carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulfur are the six basic building blocks of all known forms of life on Earth. Phosphorus is part of the chemical backbone of DNA and RNA, the structures that carry genetic instructions for life, and is considered an essential element for all living cells.

Happy Chanukah!
Wednesday night was the first night of Chanukah, an 8-day festival of lights. Chabad.org sums it up best:
WikiLeaks Plugged & Unplugged
Just days after leaked US State Department data started appearing in news media outlets, hackers bombarded the WikiLeaks server with numerous requests for information from multiple computers, thereby overwhelming it.
In short, a massive denial of service assault has hacked the WikiLeaks site. It is disabled.
As I’m writing this post, a DoS attack has shut WikiLeaks down to prevent further leaking of more than 250,000 sensitive documents.
Trying to access WikiLeaks at this time brings up a blank page. It’s anybody’s guess if it will still be down when you read this post.
WikiLeaks has been hailed as an example of global freedom of speech by those who believe it exposes the criminal side of war.
Many people in that camp supported Barack Obama for the US Presidency and vehemently opposed the candidacies of both Hillary Clinton and John McCain.

Wikileaks posted 250,000 classified State Department documents yesterday. The leaked US diplomatic cables revealed specific data and indiscreet asides of international issues of our time.
Yesterday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pledged to find those responsible for the leaks:

The Xenophobics within Our Midst
The Wall Street Journal has an interesting story up over the weekend about an Islamic terrorist magazine that aims to take down the United States. That’s a photo of its summer cover that I found at the I own the World site. Inspire is the new English-language Web magazine produced by Al Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula. Its goal is to inspire young American Muslims to kill their countrymen.
The editors of the magazine boast that to bring us down they do not need to make a major strike; they can do it by a thousand little cuts. "We do not need to strike big," they boast. "Attacking the enemy with smaller but more frequent operations" will "bleed the enemy"—a strategy of death "by a thousand cuts." One article in the November issue calls the recent effort to bomb FedEx and UPS cargo planes "Operation Hemorrhage" and says the whole episode set them back only $4,200.
The total Inspire package features stories, photos, and Qur’an quotes that support terrorist attacks, in an effort to appeal to American Muslims. The magazine is the work of two treasonous American citizens—Samir Khan, a Saudi-born American who once produced jihadist propaganda from his parents' basement before jumping ship for Yemen, and Anwar Al-Awlaki, the Islamic cleric who once ran a mosque in Virginia. (Yes, you have heard his name before. He was named "the most dangerous man in the world" at a public briefing by New York Police Department intelligence analysts.)
Try to find the time to read the entire Judith Miller and David Samuels’ WSJ article, because we need to know our enemy : http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703572404575635053157718986.html
After you do that, start asking yourself some important questions, like why do our government officials allow the funneling of foreign money for the development of huge mega-mosques, when they must know mosques are often centers for jihadist thought and training? Or, why are we continuing to allow Muslim immigration from backward repressive cultures, when we know there is a good chance that even more jihadists will be part of the mix?

Today, Far-Left European elitists can declare their victory.
Because of their duplicitous totalitarian view, all member states of the European Union are required to implement the “Framework Decision on Combating Racism and Xenophobia” by November 28th. Through their legal maneuvering, European fascists have guaranteed that criticism of Islam can be shut down. They have created a legal loophole that seeks to silence truth tellers by branding them as racists and xenophobic.
Specifically, criticism of Islam will be shut down as hate speech, thereby creating the groundwork for a New World Order in which Sharia Law can be established to silence and control the population.

Getting into the holiday spirit
Just spent the last 24 hours, minus some sleeping hours, shopping online for Christmas and Hanukah presents. We're trying hard to do things better this year by getting an early start on getting ready to enjoy the holidays. I'm really hoping we can start decorating on Sunday. Neither one of us is religious in any way but there will be a collection of menorahs, Hanukah decorations, Christmas decorations, and lots of pretty lights. Hanukah is, after all, known as the festival of lights and I sure like to see things sparkle when it gets dark so early.
This year, it'd be nice if we could keep things simple but really cool and innovative. Just a little different and more fun would be great. A service organization just opened up a Christmas tree lot nearby and I hope to go there for some greens, a wreath, and some pine roping. Using plastic garlands from China have lost their luster for me.
It doesn't look like Santa will deliver my new car for Christmas this year but it could arrive a month later. Toyota confirmed that is does take 3 months to get a custom built Lexus. Too bad because it'll be a sparkly snowy white. When it does come in January, it might be hard to spot in the snow even if it isn't buried.

The FBI pulled the plug yesterday on a bomb plot planned for an annual Oregon Christmas tree lighting ceremony:
FBI thwarts terrorist bombing attempt at Portland holiday tree lighting, authorities say by Bryan Denson for The Oregonian/ Published: Friday, November 26, 2010, 10:09 PM/ Updated: Friday, November 26, 2010, 11:04 PM
The FBI thwarted an attempted terrorist bombing in Portland's Pioneer Courthouse Square before the city's annual tree-lighting Friday night, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Oregon.
A Corvallis man, thinking he was going to ignite a bomb, drove a van to the corner of the square at Southwest Yamhill Street and Sixth Avenue and attempted to detonate it.
However, the supposed explosive was a dummy that FBI operatives supplied to him, according to an affidavit in support of a criminal complaint signed Friday night by U.S. Magistrate Judge John V. Acosta.

Palin Has that Reagan Touch
Sometimes you have to cut to the chase, and this is one of those times.
Just in case, some of you missed it:
ShareThisA Thanksgiving Message to All 57 States by Sarah Palin on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at 5:46pm
My fellow Americans in all 57 states, the time has changed for come. With our country founded more than 20 centuries ago, we have much to celebrate – from the FBI’s 100 days to the reforms that bring greater inefficiencies to our health care system. We know that countries like Europe are willing to stand with us in our fight to halt the rise of privacy, and Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. And let’s face it, everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma and they end up taking up a hospital bed. It costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early, and they got some treatment, and ah, a breathalyzer, or an inhalator. I mean, not a breathalyzer, ah, I don’t know what the term is in Austrian for that…
Of course, the paragraph above is based on a series of misstatements and verbal gaffes made by Barack Obama (I didn’t have enough time to do one for Joe Biden). YouTube links are provided just in case you doubt the accuracy of these all too human slips-of-the-tongue. If you can’t remember hearing about them, that’s because for the most part the media didn’t consider them newsworthy. I have no complaint about that. Everybody makes the occasional verbal gaffe – even news anchors.
Obviously, I would have been even more impressed if the media showed some consistency on this issue. Unfortunately, it seems they couldn’t resist the temptation to turn a simple one word slip-of-the-tongue of mine into a major political headline. The one word slip occurred yesterday during one of my seven back-to-back interviews wherein I was privileged to speak to the American public about the important, world-changing issues before us.
If the media had bothered to actually listen to all of my remarks on Glenn Beck’s radio show, they would have noticed that I refer to South Korea as our ally throughout, that I corrected myself seconds after my slip-of-the-tongue, and that I made it abundantly clear that pressure should be put on China to restrict energy exports to the North Korean regime. The media could even have done due diligence and checked my previous statements on the subject, which have always been consistent, and in fact even ahead of the curve. But why let the facts get in the way of a good story? (And for that matter, why not just make up stories out of thin air – like the totally false hard news story which has run for three days now reporting that I lobbied the producers of “Dancing with the Stars” to cast a former Senate candidate on their show. That lie is further clear proof that the media completely makes things up without doing even rudimentary fact-checking.)
“Hope springs eternal” as the poet says. Let’s hope that perhaps, just maybe, they might get it right next time. When we the people are effective in holding America’s free press accountable for responsible and truthful reporting, then we shall all have even more to be thankful for!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
- Sarah Palin

My Thanksgiving thoughts
Today, I've introduced my family to a new thought and I want to also express it here for my other family.
On Thanksgiving, we often give thanks for the friends and family we share the day with. I am so thankful for the friends I have here. You who have been on this trip to the hinterlands of politics. Thank you all. You know who you are.
My family has always had huge family Thanksgivings, but like many, we are in the diaspora times of young adult movement. Some at grandmas, some on the west coast some in NYC. We are scattered this year.
But as we head off to dinner with my son and his roomies, I came to the realization that the memories are to be truly cherished.
I am Thankful for having so many wonderful friends and family to Miss.
Imagine having nobody to miss? Imagine having not known those we no longer keep up with?
Myself. I'm so happy for the times I had with many blogging friends who became, not exactly former friends, but friends out of touch or friends on opposite sides of issues. I am thankful for them all.
I want to type a name, or two or three, but mostly I want to type one name and let you know how thankful I am for the times we had. How thankful I am that I have the opportunity to miss one with such integrity and clarity of purpose. A person who's real name I never knew. Thank you. You know who you are and you know you are forever welcome at my table.
