the sound of Barack Obama feeding at the people's trough
Some conclusions 13 days into the Obama administration . . .
Barack Obama rode into the presidency on a horse of "hope" and "change," but I have little hope that he either KNOWS what to do about the economy or has the will to do anything both brave and productive.
Obama has spent a lot of his personal energy telling us what terrible economic shape our country is in and informing us of the need to "sacrifice." He has instructed us to turn down our thermostats to a cool 68 degrees (or was it 65 deg.?), yet we learn he keeps the Oval Office temperature cranked up to a tropical 72 deg. (or above). Aides tell the press that people can't even keep their jackets on in there ... that it's so warm a person could grow orchids in the Oval Office. http://tinyurl.com/dlr4r8
Did Obama think he was just elected Grand Pasha?
At the White House Super-Bowl party, Obama served $100 a pound Wagyu steak, also known as Kobe beef, from Japan. http://tinyurl.com/dgfjen
From Japan?
Obama cannot even seem to buy beef for America's White House from America beef producers?
Is our economy not in bad enough shape that Obama has to buy $100 a pound beef, from Japan, to feed his guests?
No, Barack Hussein Obama is not, despite his wild dreams, the Grand Pasha -- he is the president of the United States, and it might behoove him to do as he tells us to do: "sacrifice" ... turn down the thermostats ... and order the kind of beef most Americans would be content to serve.
Oink ...oink.
What was that sound I just heard coming from the White House?
It was the sound of Barack Obama feeding at the people's trough.

Now, that's what I call HOPE!
President Obama: If stimulus fails, I'm out in 4 years
Please post "hope"ful messages like this one whenever you can <smile>.
Looks like the GOP is offering something which makes sense for the stimulus package. If this keeps up, they'll look like the defenders of the common man while the Democrats defended the crooked bankers.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told reporters Monday that "a stimulus bill must fix the main problem first, and that's housing." He promised that Republicans would offer a plan to have the government step in to reduce mortgage rates to the 4 percent range, which could shore up home prices and lower housing payments for millions of Americans.
and it gets better ...
Schumer also said Democrats would support a GOP-backed idea to double a home buyers tax credit from $7,500 to $15,000 and make it available to all home buyers instead of those purchasing their first home.
Did I wake up in Bizarro world? Sorry I don't have a link but this was in an AP story today.

Yes, we're in Bizarro World. Everything is upside down. That's why I voted for a Republican for president for the first time in my 40 year voting history. The Dems support the corporatists, ACORN, and corrupt unions. Where do we come in?
with these clowns. Like you I supported McCain for President and voted for him because I thought he was the better person, hands down. I loved Sarah Palin. She is the anti-thesis of the elitist asshats currently in power in DC, mostly in both parties.
will be, it is the only real hope we have.
