Ok, here is a wee bit of proof that we are totally insane here. Wanna know what our town did 
for Christmas last year? We are famous for it you know:)
you might even see me in the video, somewhere that is. My good friend Martina is in the video, ~She's one of the best MLA s we have and a great person. Anyhow, have a look at what we all got up to last christmas

We dont use the name "londonderry" we use the original real name which is "derry" or "doire" which means "oakgrove" The British re-named Derry to Londonderry when they seized the city long ago, but the name is now finally being legally changed back to it's original "derry" thanks to the Good Friday Agreement and Peace Process that Bill and Hill helped push though for us:) Our airport is called "City of Derry Airport" and the council is called "Derry City Council" people loyal to England call it Londonderry, everyone else and anyone irish calls it Derry:) Ok, ,MLA means Member of Legislative Assembly. Our Martina represents Sinn Fein in the Foyle Constituancy where I live in Derry. An MLA is the highest elected position you can have here, other than MLA’s there are Councillors who tend to things locally across the North. The councillors work hand in hand with the MLA’s who work in Stormont in Belfast making the legislative decisions for the six counties. She is a local Derry Girl:) I met her many years ago and she is someone whom I admire greatly and is an inspiration to me personally.. The adversity she has suffered in her life and how she dealt with it, then turned it around and worked her ass of for women and for Ireland. She is one of the strongest women I know. When I have a down day I often think of Martina, it makes my silly problems seem like nothing compared to her earlier life. She’s a lovely person to know, both inside and out, her whole family are wonderful. I canvassed for her when she ran for the assembly. Taken from an interview in 1999 one year after she was released from jail.

Once upon a time they were the single town of Nutfield. Now we have Derry and Londonderry. Derry would be the commercial side and Londondery is all Apple Orchards and Residential (plus most of Manchester Airport).
Still here in VT. Here is my slideshow of the pics I took thois morning whilst my family were skiing yet again. Future son-in-law sprained his wrist and elbow so he's now officially christened.

"officially Christened" ROFLMAO The piccies are grand hampy!! lucky you!! The closest i ever get to skiiing is sliding down shipquay street when it's isced over, that's called "derry skiing" LOL
im no fool i'd not try skiing, although when my son was all into skateboarding (not long ago) i did get out there and try a few "ollies" moron that i am. never again:) Hell, these days the cobblestone streets in derry give me probs LOL espeically after a pint er two. im depressed, they have replaced David tennent as Dr Who, life sucks!!
yeah, im all by myself as well right now, it's 11PM here, son is over at GF's house, hubby is attached to his present i got him, a nintendo ~DS, he has become addicted to solving ~Dr Laytons Mystery Village game, and i've over endulged in food today, hence the zantac LOL Ah but 2morrow is another day, yawn. Hope YOU are having fun as well hampy, take int the beautiful scenery, enjoy it:)

i loved the "warm horsey" pic, i miss having horses. i had them until i learned how to drive and got my license LOL, and i miss snow as well. we had some snow last year, but this year it's very warm for us, not the norm. And wha'ts with all the cheese factory pics, trying to make me more depressed are ye? I miss american cheese so much. especially chedder. our chedder is not the same. lovin the cheese factory pics, but is there a "frito" factory near by?

we were never published in the guinness book of world records this year and now EFFING portugal just did it and got 14000 santas }:) so once again poor wee Derry gets the shaft Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! but maybe we can have another go and this time really give it to them LOL
