Will men dominate Obama administration?

from Politico By LISA LERER | 11/15/08

Early indications that men might dominate the hierarchy of Obama administration have women’s groups worried, even as a growing chorus of advisers reportedly pushes Hillary Rodham Clinton for secretary of state.

“There’s definitely been a reaction to the few groups that have been named so far,” said Kim Gandy, president of the National Organization for Women. “I agree with those who are concerned that it would have been nice to see more women."

What a shocker.  The Obama boyz club is locking out the girls.  But of course they will "try" to place qualified women, if only they can find some.

The Obama transition team asked NOW to send suggestions of qualified female candidates, according to Gandy.

“The transition team is going to take the time to look at and vet the people they don’t know,” she said. “Because frankly, the people who are already well-known in Washington tend to be men and tend to be white.”

The early teams released by the Obama administration have tended to be male-dominated. On Wednesday, four women and eight men were named to Obama’s transition advisory board. His agency review team is headed by seven women and thirteen men. And last week, Obama met with his key economic advisers — four women and 13 men.

I was reading this post when it dawned on me that, well, the entire Obama crew are AssHats.

“I agree with those who are concerned that it would have been nice to see more women", said Kim Gandy, president of the National Organization for Women.

Nice? Is she kidding? I would think that a woman who heads up an organization named "National Organization of Women" might find it essential! Nice? Damn she's tough! That's telling them guys where the bear defecated in the buckwheat.

Seems NOW sold out to the Obamanation for nuttin!

A Dishonest/Biased Media Is A Crime Against Democracy!

was expecting what??? The information has been out there for NOW and MS Gandy for quite some time. Why would they expect anything other than what Fraud Almighty has demonstrated all along? Remember the info about Obama's female staffers making less than their male counterparts? Did the NOW organization not see and hear the sexist comments and behavior we all saw???

And yet they expected some miraculous change once the election was over?? Yup, keep backing sexist male pigs. That comes under the old saying-

"Insanity if defined as continuing to do the same thing over and over expecting a different result."

Or sounded more like an apologist for not appointing women?  Remind me, what does the 'W' in NOW stand for?  Wimpy? Wan? Winsome?

And f*ck off, Politico -- as if appointing Clinton (or, more accurately, talking about appointing Clinton, as if it would ever happen) would solve the gender imbalance (or sexism) in an Obama administration.  Politico describes the situation as some great irony -- how dare women's groups mumble quietly in the corner about gender balance when Obama has deigned to consider Hillary for SoS!

Hillary may have the heart and strength of a 1000 women, but she can't be the 30% solution in every branch of government all by herself.

What a wonderful image - women's groups fall in line and do what they're told. Now they're fretting silently LOL.

If there's one thing the Obamanation knows how to do, it's manipulate the media.  Any talk of Hillary Clinton feeds the rumor mill enough to take heat and attention away from what they don't want to discuss.  Just look at these smoke and mirrors over here and pay no attention to the man behind the curtain...

HClinton will have no role in the Obama WH except for how her name can be used to distract the press.

Independently adrift

Obama is not only the new U.S. President, he is the new president of "The He-Man Woman Haters Club."

via Bill.  see today's roundup...the story from today's Sunday Telegraph, UK...more tricks...float her name, then bring out the dirt on why she can't be named, esp. after that crap about all the "vetting" so appointees won't sully Obama's "reputation"...
