Wake up Democrats! You Have Been Oppressed and Abused

On this election eve, I have been thinking quite a lot about the election tomorrow. Trying to make sense of what has happened to Democrats this year.

America is in trouble, the Democratic Party is in trouble. We watched in 2000 as our candidate had the election stolen from him by Bush’s Florida fix. Then, for the last eight years we have suffered greatly. We have seen our country attacked on a massive scale on 9-11. We watched as bodies fell to the ground, knowing the world would never be the same. We watched as for the first time in my lifetime, the world came together in support for America, and sadly, we watched all that goodwill squandered, only to be used and abused by Bush. Then we watched as Americas standing in the world plummeted and became the worst it has ever been. We have watched helplessly as Bush sent our children off to Afghanistan and Iraq, without victory, without real support, and without an end. And now, many years later, thousands of innocent Iraqis, Afghans and Americans are dead, and for what? We have seen war prisoners without rights and tortured in a very un-American way.  We have not stood for American values; we have not led by example, but instead, watched as Bush demonstrated to the world how one sided and vile America can be at its absolute worst. We have felt ashamed of ourselves and our country for what the Bush administration has done in our names around the world and at home.

We have seen our personal and civil rights trampled on by Bush and his gang. We have seethed in anger for 8 long years now, wanting to see the real America return to it’s standing at home and in the World.

We have been oppressed and abused by the decider…..

Americans have been a victim of abuse. And just like an individual victim of abuse, I believe that Democrats have taken on a role of the abused. This mentality has allowed Democrats to ignore all the cheating and red flags from Obama and the very un-Democratic behaviour of the Democratic Party this year.

The whole thing reminds me of a woman who has been in an abusive relationship for 8 years with a man. Outsiders say;  “How can she stay with him? How can she be so blind? Why can’t she see what he is doing? Why can’t she see he is using her and he is no good for her?”

Yet, this is exactly what the majority of Democrats are doing right now. The mentality is “Any Democrat is better than a Republican” And yet, this is exactly the same as an abused woman saying “any man is better than no man at all” This abused victim mentality is what many are using to decide who to reward with their vote. But making a decision in this state of mind can be skewed.

Real Democrats stand for the Democratic principles.. We, as Democratic Americans stand for free speech; we stand for equality and fairness. Yet anyone paying attention in this election would have clearly seen Obama and his supporters along with the DNC actually become the antithesis of every core Democratic value that brought me to the Democratic party years ago! And I have had a wake up call this year!! I now understand so clearly, that those principles are not ascribed to only one party, they are not “owned” by Obama or the Democratic Party, but they are ideals, they are AMERICAN ideals!! Those ideals are actually who and what we are, they are part and parcel of what this country was founded on and they belong to all of us! Hillary Clinton “got that”   She understands what it is to be an American first and that is why during the primaries, Obama couldn’t close the deal without the DNC interfering and crowning him their golden boy. As Americans first, we should protect those values, we should support those values and above all we should not allow any one party or candidate to hold hostage those principles. They belong to all of us! And just as those principles belong to us, so does our vote belong to us, it does not belong to a party or a candidate; it belongs to us as Americans! And we, as Americans should vote for the best American, no matter the party. Otherwise we become followers, not leaders.

We can have differences, but we must not always allow those differences to force us into making the wrong decision, without looking at the bigger picture.

As parents, we teach our children to play fair. How many times have we told them it’s not about winning, it’s how you play the game. It’s about being your personal best, it’s about leading by example, and it’s about doing the right thing in the face of adversity. That when you cheat, you only cheat yourself. Yet, these many Democrats have not led by example, they have had the conversation in their own heads, they have some how convinced themselves that anything is fair game, as long as a Democrat wins.  Any Democrat!

If you are a Democrat, then it is now acceptable to attack women in a sexist way, it is now alright for other Democrats to belittle and smear a two term President and the former First Lady. It is now alright to have your supporters like Randi Rhodes call them “Fucking Whores” It is now alright for the media to smear, lie and vilify one Democratic Candidate whilst refusing to vet, report or investigate the other, this despite many red flags and questionable associations that would have taken down any other candidate. It is now acceptable for a Presidential Candidate to avoid the media and only give a speech when he is in trouble? It is acceptable for an Obama presidency to not be asked hard questions he does not like? It is now acceptable to silence any dissent, and questioning is no longer allowed or encouraged!!

It would appear that Democrats have now accepted that it is alright for the DNC to pick our Candidates for us, because, after all, they, like Bush, know better than we do. There is now no difference between Bush as the “decider” and the DNC/Obama as the “decider” I believe an Obama win will only replace one “decider” with another one. It is how he ran his campaign and it is how the DNC played the game. Obama, the DNC and his followers, have taken on board and added to, everything we, as Democrats have despised about Bush.  And they want you to reward this with your vote!!

Democrats should lead by example, At no time did Obama address or speak out about any of the vile attacks his followers used against Hillary, her supporters or even regular everyday Americans, like Joe the Plumber! Just today it has come to light that an Obama supporter who is a radio host in San Francisco named Karel Bouley has called for a death threat against Joe, simply for asking Obama that question about taxes. Is this a Democratic value now?  And while we are on the subject, I am just back from voting in America. Because I feel so strongly about Democratic values and my right to choose my own candidate without the help of the DNC.  I choose to wear a PUMA Hillary shirt for the trip over. May not have been the smartest thing to do, but hey, no one tells me what to do or who to vote for! I had to stop in two airports in American cities before my final destination. On each stop, as I would walk the concourse looking for a place to get a cup of tea, I would have nasty comments made as I passed by people. One server in one food outlet just ignored me, until I had to make a scene to be served. Other times I’d just go somewhere else or cover up the front of the shirt until I was served. This is not the America I know, and I can say with 100% clarity, that nothing like this ever happened when I travelled over during the Bush years wearing and anti-Bush shirt! Yet, this is what has become the norm for so called Democrats in America!

I was thinking on the plane ride over about character. About how ones character tells so much about a person. I thought about in this election, with all the biased media, the cheating by the DNC, Obama, Acorn and his cult followers, that Obama was never truly vetted, so how can we judge him against McCain? I returned to that thing called “character” So I came up with this; if I were stuck in a burning building, hanging out the window, three stories up. And there were people down below that could help me, but it would be dangerous to do so. I asked myself this question, which candidate has demonstrated he sees himself no better than the next guy. Who would I trust to have the courage and selflessness to climb that ladder up the burning building at great risk to themselves, and take my hand to safety?  And then I was reminded of John McCain when he was captured as a war prisoner. He could have gotten himself out a lot sooner, by using his status. Instead, he choose to be treated like everyone else, even at great risk to himself. Now, I’m not a war monger, and I have not supported any American war in my lifetime.  But, despite my views on wars, McCain demonstrated who he is as a human being in that one situation. I asked myself would Obama have done the same? And the answer I came up with based on his behaviour during this election, his narcissistic personality, his tunnel vision focus on becoming President at all costs to those who elected him all along the way. All this tells me that Obama would never risk himself for another person. He never has and never will. He is callous, ruthless and has no character. I cannot say that about McCain, even though I do not agree with some of his policies.

And it is this “save only me” attitude that I personally find so dangerous and disgusting. Since Obama’s inception into politics, he has had only one thing on his mind, to be the top man at all costs. Never staying anywhere long enough to effect any change, not doing the job he was elected for, but rather setting his eyes on the next rung of the ladder and working for that instead of those who elected him to his most recent post!!  Obama is a user/abuser and is only concerned about himself. He does not serve the public; he uses them for his own means and goals. I contrast this to McCain as a prisoner in my statement above. So even though McCain is not a member of the Democratic Party, and even though, as a woman, Palin and I do not agree on many things. I believe we can have political differences, but that those differences do not preclude me from voting for the candidate with the best character, most honest principles and American democratic ideals.

So, before you give your vote away, think about what you have seen taking place in this election. Think about the cult aspect to Obama’s campaign, the attacks on people, think about how Obama got here, what he did, who helped him, how the DNC robbed Hillary’s 18 million strong win. And remember who said “I don’t think Hillary can get my votes, but I can get hers!”

So, I say to you, that you have been abused and oppressed for 8 years now. Do you want to give ABSOLUTE power to Obama, his supporters and the DNC who decided for us?  Do you want to reward cheating with your vote?  Don’t make your most important decision clouded by this abuse and oppression. Otherwise you may find out you have once again been used, abused and oppressed.

In closing, I am reminded of a piece of graffiti I once read in an oppressed land. It said simply; “What happens when the oppressed become the oppressors”

We must be careful

I really do believe Obama is using the American people because they have been abused, he's read what people want and is catering to their wants and fears. I think people will be very sorry if they reward him and the DNC with their vote, after seeing what tey did together i can't undersatnd how anyone could reward them

Isn't it strange everyone who runs against him is this awful vicious person? Isn't it strange his opponents are somehow these demons who didn't have the decency to drop out and allow him to run unnopposed?

Great post.

I wonder how that will work on the international scene when he has to negotiate with world leaders. LOL playing the race card wont fly outside of America, neither will the use of his minions on the ground unless he buys them all tickets overseas with his billions of dollars

what an absolute sham this guy is and those who support him are scarier than bush, that's saying something!!!

the author of that piece on Obama's use of hypnosis points out at the end that it would appear we are about to turn the largest nuclear arsenal in the world over to this snake-oil salesman.

If you're not scared, you're not paying attention.

I told you so!

you ain't kidding. But here's what truly worries me, and so far as I know, no one has writtin about this so I am thinking about making a diary about it. What really concerns me is that so many young people have joined his cult and are worshiping him. What happens when he decides he wants to attack some country and he then gives one of his pretty speeches asking all his young followers to join his obama army, telling them they are the oens to save the world. what then?

scary very scary

I cannot recall the last time I read a post more pure, more heartfelt.

The actions of Obama supporters are a direct reflection of the man who leads them.  The possibility that he may occupy the White House makes me queasy with fear.  You gave voice to that feeling better than I possibly could.

Thank you for making the trip back across the pond to vote.  THAT was devotion to country.

I told you so!

cross posted on noquarter sometime in the early morning.  A great last argument don't you think?
