Happy Stuffing Day, I mean Thanksgiving

My wife and I are cooking up some dishes for tomorrow's feast at my mom's house. I tried out some pumpkin pie last night with whipped cream and later had some bad acid reflux. It tasted like pie but before that was an extra large pizza with anchovies and double mushrooms. Nah, couldn't have been that.

My only goal is to survive the week. Any shopping will be done online.

The stock market was down somewhat today so I'm thinking it might be a good time to look for bargains. Something at the back of my mind, though, says things could get a lot worse. By some measures, the economy is starting to show some signs of life but something could come along to set things back.

I really don't want to focus on trying to pounce on a buying opportunity, whether it's a stock or a product on sale, because I just want to enjoy the holiday. It's too easy to be distracted by all the things going on around us vying for our attention. Ignore the noise and focus on being thankful for what we have.
