The sap will run next spring and Vermont will rise out of this a stronger society. I wonder how many new friendships have been made between strangers and how those friendships will effect the future.
I drove through the state on Friday and again Sunday on may way home from NY. In Londonderry we saw flooded art galleries, restaurants and shops. Along route 11 we saw the remains of a house in the middle of the river and many a washout that we had to sneak around. It was all so sad, yet uplifting. I have no doubt that come ski season there will be nary a sign of the storm except for missing covered bridges.
We love you Vermont.

The damage from floods was terrible in VT- WMass dodged most of the bullet. Till next time......
and produced the worst flood damage since the 1927 flood.
Heartwarming to see how Vermonters and people from other States are pitching in to help.
