Hillary won the New Hampshire Primary.
Polls were about to close at 8 and I as poll manager for the campaign stayed waiting to witness the count. We and the women of NH proceeded to shock the asshat pollsters and I went to an awesome victory party in Manchester

to think of what might have been.
We might have had a president who cared.
We might have had a president who was competent.
We might have had a president with great ideas and goals -- and the ability to bring them to fruition.
We might have had a great president -- and the first woman president.
Instead, we got this . . . .
It's a great picture, Hampy. She looks so happy; I wonder if she regrets anything.
But I'd do it again in a heartbeat if it means another shot at Hillary in the White House. Let's hope she decides to run in 2016.
Who needs an additional 4 yrs of ^%*(&#@?
If we're stuck with eight years of Obama there's not going to be much left in 2016.
Check out the Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll results for today. After a break in Obama's sliding approval ratings over the holidays they're on the way back down again.
These are the same people who said Rasmussen was a genius when he came up with polls that showed Bush's approval rating was down. Now, that it's happening to Obama the polls are flawed.
The truth, according to a Fordham University study, is that Rasmussen was the most accurate of all the polls in 2008.

Obama's down another point in the Rasumssen poll today. I thought maybe his speech on airline security might raise his ratings. After all, he said all the right words. You don't suppose people have finally quit listening to what he says and started watching what he does?
ran video clips of Obama promising over and over again to have the healthcare negotiations on C-SPAN so everyone could see which senators and House members were functioning on behalf of the public and which were functioning on behalf of the insurers.,
When the comedians start going after a president, that president is already toast.
There will be nothing left of what we call the US if we have to suffer through 8 years of BO. If she doesn't buck the party and run, then people will definitely be seeking someone else. BO has to GO.
As of now I don't see that happening but I also won't underestimate the possibility of Obama really fucking things up more than he has now in the next three years.
as it was two years ago. How different our lives would be today if the winner had actually won.
There's something that bothers me, though. I've been reading about the State Department's lack of response to reports by the father of the Christmas Day bomber that his son was a threat. I don't understand why they didn't revoke his visa. It seems everyone, including Hillary's people, dropped that ball.
Is she operating under a set of rules from the White House that makes it impossible for her to run her department the way she wants?
I believe (although I could be in error) the underwear bomber's father spoke to the CIA officials and staff at the embassy, NOT to State Dept. staff or officials. So, the burden was on the CIA pipeline, not on the State Dept. pipeline.
seems to have arrived at the office of the officials responsible for disseminating it to the various concerned agencies OK.
It was that office that appeared to have dropped the ball - boss was out playing golf.
Michael Leiter, director of the National Counterterrorism Center since 2007 and the top official in charge of analyzing terror threats, decided not to return to his agency's nerve center in McLean, Va., until several days after the Christmas underwear bombing attempt.

The CIA is supposed to be a clandestine service. How could Abdulmutallab's father have known how to contact them?
According to the BBC, <----link there
the CIA officials there, since this appeared to be important information that should be sent up the CIA chain for research, evaluation and action.
There is a CIA presence at every U.S. embassy just for this specific purpose.
The State Dept. is not primarily an intelligence gathering or analyzing entity; that's what the CIA was set up to do, and does.
As stated by the Department of State, its purpose includes:
Protecting and assisting U.S. citizens living or traveling abroad;
Assisting U.S. businesses in the international marketplace;
Coordinating and providing support for international activities of other U.S. agencies (local, state, or federal government), official visits overseas and at home, and other diplomatic efforts.
Keeping the public informed about U.S. foreign policy and relations with other countries and providing feedback from the public to administration officials.
Providing automobile registration for non-diplomatic staff vehicles and the vehicles of diplomats of foreign countries having diplomatic immunity in the United States.

I hope others here can take comfort in that, too.
