Breaking News: Lou Dobbs quits CNN

I could hardly believe what I was hearing as Lou Dobbs announced he is leaving CNN, effective tonight. The NYT reports that Dobbs met with Fox's Roger Ailes in September but a spokesperson said today, “We have not had any discussions with Lou Dobbs for Fox News or Fox Business.”

They say Dobbs is anti-immigration but that's inaccurate. Dobbs, along with most of America, is anti-illegal immigration. CNN is way too in-the-tank with Obama and they have miserable ratings as a result. Fox News Channel is tops in the ratings by a very wide margin.
Let's hope we get to hear more from Lou Dobbs in the very near future. He'll still be on the radio.

He could be a great Independent candidate who might be a real spoiler. If he gets the Independent vote plus a few Dem and Repub votes, he could win with just 34% of the votes. Imagine a 3-way race between Obama, Huckabee and Dobbs. It'd be unfortunate if he split the Repub vote, guaranteeing an Obama win.
I think Obama will beat Obama and leave the job to fight between Indi and Repub. Lou would have a real shot

Who will be bringing up the important immigration issues now? IIlegal migrant workers and immigrants moving through the legal process are apples and brocolli. I agree with Dodd we need to crack down on illegals. Illegal gun and drug smuggling are also a big problem connected with illegal crossing of borders.
It would help if our government would go after our own employers breaking the law by "hiring" illegal immigrants. Take away their business licenses. That would be a big help.
Apparently people shot at his house in late October. This seems familiar ... did some other celebrity have their house shot at recently?
