Obama, Netanyahu meet at White House, Followed by Media Blackout (Updated)

Uh oh, this isn't good. Israeli PM Binyamin Netanyahu flew to Washington with some staff members to meet with the president Monday night but the usual photo op didn't happen. The meeting was held behind closed doors and the usual post-meeting news conference didn't happen. Something is up and it isn't good. Only two subjects were on the agenda: the peace process and Iran. Obama wants to give Iran more time to respond to the idea of shipping enriched uranium to Russia for further processing. So far, Iran has flatly rejected the idea. This isn't a new idea, either. It was first mentioned several years ago as a way to keep Iran from making progress on its covert crash nuclear weapons development program.
All major leaders of the free world have stated that Iran cannot be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. Germany PM Angela Merkel made a similar statement to a joint session of Congress recently. Sunni Arab states have been urging the US and Israel to deal with the issue and soon. Time is running out but it seems Obama and Netanyahu can't come to terms. Israel may be forced to act on her own if our dithering president can't take decisive action.
During the first quarter of next year, either Iran will have to yield to efforts to curtail their nuclear weapons program or suffer an attack. An ultimatum is fast approaching.

The media blackout and secrecy are still unusual.

About time he got squeezed for all his promises that have turned into lies - could the kosack kiddies really be waking up from their orange dope spree?
Sure wish women would show the guts and determination that the gays do.
…including black groups. No one seems to be getting what they bargained for in supporting Obama and it's a shame. So many voters swooned at the notion of hope and change. Some of us, though, knew better like the PUMAs and most of them are women. Many have left the Dem party so not giving to the DNC and associated groups is a given. I got a zillion solicitations by phone, mail, and email ahead of this past election because I've been generous in the past in supporting individual candidates and the local and national party.
Obama, the Dem party, and the Dem Congress are a huge disappointment because they're squandering a wonderful opportunity to do some real good but they're letting far left ideology get in the way of needed change. As a result, they're going to pay the ultimate political price in 2010 and 2012.
